Tapia Track Record
Over the years, Tapia Advertising has coordinated, facilitated, marketed and executed many events that have included large, medium and small sized events, including one day events that have drawn record crowds to large scale 2 day events that have attracted record crowds with over 70,000 attendees. Tapia Advertising has taken great pride in detailed organization when creating events for our clientele. Below are a few examples of Tapia Advertising event development and coordination background on past festivals, promotional tours and extreme events that we have created for our clients.
Springs Spree:
Mike and Phillip Tapia served as coordinators for one of Colorado Springs oldest and most anticipated annual events called “Springs Spree.” The Tapia’s role as coordinators encompassed every aspect of the 35 year old festival that included city permits, entertainment, activities and marketing this land mark event that drew more than 70,000 – 80,000 people in the final year that we coordinated this community festival. What many people did not know about Springs Spree, is that it was a troubled event that was diminishing in revenue over the many years it was held in Downtown Colorado Springs. Upon taking on the coordination responsibility, Tapia Advertising passionately pushed forward regardless of the challenge that stood before us in an attempt to save one of Colorado Springs oldest community events. It brings great joy and fulfillment to know that Springs Spree is among one of Southern Colorado’s most profitable and elite events today.
Pikes Peak SUPERCROSS:
Mike Tapia is also the lead marketing coordinator for the Pikes Peak SUPERCROSS along with Phillip Tapia (Mikes Son) as the public relations director. Tapia Advertising has promoted and marketed The Pikes Peak SUPERCROSS since 2008 with every year striving to make the event bigger and better than the last. Today, the Pikes Peak Supercross is the largest supercross race in southern Colorado – drawing sellout crowds over the past 2 years.
The AMP Fast Car Tour:
Tapia Advertising created a unique promotion that turned out to be a mobile event in 2008. Tapia Advertising partnered with Pepsi Cola of Colorado Springs to create the AMP Fast Car – summer tour. As Dale Earnhardt Jr. left his long time sponsorship with Budweiser, Pepsi posed as a prime opportunity to promote AMP Energy Drink and it’s many new flavors. Tapia Advertising involved several of our accounts to maximize campaign exposure. Nevada Auto Sales provided a 2007 Chevy Impala and Tapia Advertising went to work converting this vehicle into a street legal Dale Earnhardt Jr NASCAR. Street legal lookalike promotional vehicle that actually resembled the NASCAR that Dale Jr would be driving that year. Upon completing the promotional vehicle Tapia Advertising street team took it on the road with appearances and AMP Energy Drink sampling at every major event that summer that included pit stops at Sky Sox Baseball games, the community’s largest festivals and events as well as every military base in the Lane Distributing region. This Tapia Advertising promotional tour earned Lane Distributing a national Pepsi award as well as an increase of 16% in AMP Energy Drink sales that summer.
Rocky Mountain Haunt Fest:
Tapia Advertising has served as the marketing and public relation directors for Mind Seizure haunted house since 2008 and Ghouls Gulch haunted house since 2011. The haunted houses partnered in 2011 to create the Rocky Mountain Haunt Fest that is held six weeks prior and up to Halloween. Tapia Advertising coordinated all marketing, public relations, on site concerts among many other special activities that included live baby tigers to take pictures with, to a National Hollywood production company filming a scene in Ghouls Gulch haunted house in 2013. The Rocky Mountain Haunt fest has drawn tens of thousands of people in search of a ghostly adrenalin rush during the Halloween season.

High School Football “Blitz At iT’Z”:

Each week Tapia Advertising would coordinate with local high schools athletic departments to host local high school football teams and interview key players on an upcoming game that would broadcast live on KRDO radio.
