“Memorial Hospital’s Trauma Emergency Mother Baby Delivery Unit Receives Giant Stuffed Polar Bears for the Holidays”

Memorial Hospital delivers more than 4,000 babies in their Mother/Baby Department and sees over 25,000 pediatric patients walk through the doors of their Emergency Department each year. The Memorial Hospital Foundation is grateful for community supporters who assist in providing toys and comfort items to the hospital’s youngest patients.
For the second year in a row Mike & Sharon Bonicelli and Crazy Herman of Nevada Auto Sales will be donating 50 giant Polar Bear / Teddy Bears to the Memorial Hospital Foundation to be given away at the Memorial Hospital’s Trauma Emergency and Mother Baby units during the holidays. Cary Blanchette Executive Director of the Memorial Hospital Foundation said last year was amazing site seeing doctors and nurses from Memorial Hospital’s Mother Baby unit carrying all 50 bears back to the hospital after last year’s press conference. Mike and Sharon Bonicelli owners of Nevada Auto Sales for the past 45 years are thrilled to donate the bears every year and plan on making it an annual event. Mike and Sharon hope that everyone becomes more aware of the need for more financial and toy donations to the Memorial Hospital Foundation. The couple urges everyone to consider a donation to this life-saving and life-changing organization. Everyone’s financial and toy donations go directly to programs and facilities that impact the health and well-being of your family, friends and neighbors in southern Colorado. Mike, Sharon and Crazy Herman as well as representatives from the Memorial Hospital Foundation along with 50 Giant Polar Bears are inviting the media and your cameras and reporters to join us and help spread the word how much the Memorial Hospital Foundation needs your donations at this time of the year.
